Don't clown around. Put your nose in a good book!

The Hale County Literacy Council enlisted help from the Hale County Junior Literacy Council (JLC) and the Plainview Rotary Club to label and bag 3,100 books and red noses for the March 2 Read Across America project. HCLC  and its  volunteers will give an age-appropriate book to every pre-K  through 5th grade student in PISD and PCA.

The $10,000 project was supported by several organizations. Major donors include the Plainview Area Endowment ($2,500), Wal-Mart ($2,500), and the Plainview Rotary Club ($2,700).
