Donna Austin of Paws Pet Adoption of Plainview gave an excellent program to the Plainview Rotary Club on the challenges of pet ownership.  Paws has limited resources to take care of the over 2,300 dogs brought in to Animal Control in Plainview each year. Some owners, 298 last year, reclaim their lost pets, and 266 were adopted. That means that over 1,700 dogs were euthanized. Donna says that funds are available to spay and neuter their dogs.  Paws is open Monday - Friday from 4-6 p.m. Call 292-8440 for information.  Find them on Facebook at "Paws Pet Adoption of Plainview".
